Virtual Micro-Residency
Inquiry's virtual micro-residency is designed to connect and support artists and scientists interested in collaborating across disciplines. During this program, participants will receive tools and resources to help spark conversations and connections beyond disciplinary divisions. At the culmination of this two-month residency, cohort members will have the option of applying for $500 micro-grants to seed future collaborative projects.
Both scientists and artists working across all disciplines and mediums are encouraged to apply by March 20th at 5 pm EST. Here's how you can get involved:
Step 1: Apply
Fill out a brief application and tell us about your artwork or area of study. Applications are due by March 20th at 5 pm EST.
The selection process will take place throughout the month of March. Inquiry will review submissions and conduct a brief round of interviews with selected cohort members. If you are not selected during this round, we will save your information for the next open call. All applicants will be contacted by April 1st.
Step 2: Connect
If selected, we will connect you directly with other cohort members with similar areas of interest to discuss potential collaborations. Throughout the months of April and May, Inquiry will send weekly prompts as well as tools and resources to help facilitate cross-disciplinary explorations with your fellow cohort members. This is your time to dream up potential projects, artworks, workshops, and other programs that explore your shared interests!
Step 3: Explore
Together, decide what you hope to accomplish in the future. Inquiry will open applications for $500 micro-grants on June 1st to help seed potential projects. More information about micro-grant applications will be shared in the early Spring of 2021.
